Cross-Disciplinary Session at ICES Annual Science Conference 2018
Please find below an announcement from our ESR Camilla Sguotti in Hamburg:
I wish that 2018 will be a year of scientific success and that every of us will be able to succeed in our respective professional, but also personal, projects. The year is starting well for marine-related sciences with the call for paper opening for the ICES ASC 2018 (24-27 September 2018, Hamburg, Germany) where, together with Xochitl Cormon and Christian Möllmann, I will be hosting a cross- disciplinary session exploring the complex nature of tipping points link: http://www.ices.dk/news-and-events/asc/asc2018/Pages/Theme-session-I.aspx
We aim to conduct a cross-disciplinary session and therefore invite contribution of a broad range of scientists e.g. history, sociology, economics, etc., in addition to marine ecologists and fishery scientists as well as contributions from non- scientist authors such as stakeholders, experts and policy and/or decision-makers. Deadline for abstract submission is the 19th March 2018 and early-career scientists are encouraged to apply (partial funding may be provided by the ICES).
You may consult ICES ASC webpage http://www.ices.dk/news-and-events/asc/asc2018/Pages/default.aspx for more information, instructions for applications and other themed session descriptions.
We are looking forward to receiving your contributions and would appreciate if you could forward this message within your network.
Camilla Sguotti (on the behalf of Xochitl Cormon and Christian Möllmann)
